I work in partnership with organisations, charities and services that support people impacted by trauma, abuse and adversity.
My work focuses on shifting culture, language and practice - moving away from victim-blaming narratives and towards compassionate, survivor-centred responses that recognise context, lived experiences and systemic harm.
I am an Accredited VictimFocus Trainer, trained and assessed by the VictimFocus Academy under Dr Jessica Taylor.
This is advanced CPD training designed for professionals working with survivors of trauma, abuse and exploitation — particularly within safeguarding, frontline and support roles.
This training explores:
The psychology of victim-blaming and self-blame
How systems, language and power reinforce harm
Critical perspectives on child sexual exploitation and abuse
Trauma-informed practice through a victim-centred lens
This training was formally assessed via an accredited process, including a viva, and is grounded in survivor-centred research and practice.

Many professionals work within systems that unintentionally place responsibility on individuals rather than recognising the impact of trauma, abuse, inequality and environment.
VictimFocus training supports organisations to:
Challenge victim-blaming beliefs and language
Improve responses to disclosure and safeguarding
Strengthen trauma-informed, survivor-centred practice
Develop reflective, ethical and accountable ways of working
This training supports cultural change, not just compliance.
This work is particularly relevant for organisations and professionals working in:
Domestic and sexual violence services
Child and adult safeguarding
Social care, education and healthcare
Charities and third-sector organisations
Community and support services
Training is adapted to the context, roles and responsibilities of each organisation.
Alongside training, I offer corporate wellbeing days and trauma-informed workshops that support staff wellbeing, nervous system regulation and resilience — without bypassing or minimising lived experience.
These sessions are especially beneficial for teams working in emotionally demanding or trauma-exposed roles.
Sessions may include:
Nervous system education and regulation tools
Trauma-informed self-care and boundaries
Stress and burnout support
Grounded, practical wellbeing strategies
Training and workshops can be delivered as:
In-person sessions
Online training
Half-day or full-day workshops
Bespoke programmes tailored to your organisation
All work is collaborative, reflective and shaped around your team’s needs.

I work in partnership with organisations aligned with trauma-informed, survivor-centred values - includeing Jamie's Sanctuary - to help expand access to safe, empowering support.
Partnerships are built on shared ethics, respect and a commitment to doing better for those we serve.
If you would like to explore training, wellbeing support or partnerships opportunities, I'd love to hear from you.
